Sunny (サニー Sanii) is a Grass/Psychic-type Pokémon and was the original design of Sunflora. It was a stand-alone Pokémon (Sunkern didn't exist yet) and could be encountered to the west of Silent Town in the Nintendo Spaceworld 1997 demo. It was able to learn Leech Seed and Sing and was classified as the Flower Pokémon, in which Bellsprout and Bellossom are also categorized. [1][2] [3] The katakana for Sunflora's Japanese name was eventually finalized as キマワリ Kimawari in the 1999 demo.
