The early depiction of Tyranitar
Early artwork of Tyranitar (バンギラス Bangiras) was shown on the front cover of the MicroGroup Game Review Magazine (volume 14) in 1997, where it was shown alongside an unreleased creature, an unreleased turtle Pokémon, and two unreleased Trainers. There are a few minor differences between Tyranitar's design as it was in the MicroGroup Game Review Magazine and the final version. This earlier version has shorter arms, a tan belly instead of an indigo one, and more spikes on its back than the final design. However, this artwork was said to be unrelated to Pokémon.
